I was thinking to buy an ultrasonic cleaner for a long time now ,i have seen this clean rust and corrosion out of metal parts and couldnt believe my eyes
I wanted to try the nice and big ones that are sold on ebay and cost from 80 pounds and more plus postage but i didnt want to waste so much money in something that may have no use in what i am doing
So i found this little ultrasonic cleaner for just 20 euros in a local market
This has a 6-way timer and 500ml tank to put in your dirty stuff
It can fit a carb body easily (such as the mikunis TM i usually use )
Here are some photos of the cleaner
I also tried the yz swingarm axle bolt ,it had rust, dirt and some paint on it ,that was impressive
After 3 wash cycles

You can use several liquids to clean stuff ,the most common is tap water, i also used vinegar and a household cleaner for grease called cillit bang so lets see what happened
First clean is with water ,i tried 2 wash cycles of 600 sec each
Here are the first victims
First 2 washes i used the little plastic frame that holds them not to touch the metal case of the machine, that was a mistake
It wasnt necessary and it reduces one third of the machines cleaning power
The spring didnt clean so good mostly in the areas that are hidden
I also tried the yz swingarm axle bolt ,it had rust, dirt and some paint on it ,that was impressive
After 3 wash cycles
Next try is with vinegar and some rusty YZ bolts , this put a large smile on my face ,the result was very impressive
After 3 wash cycles
Then i tried cilit bang (a common household cleaner for grease used on electric stoves etc.) and my TZR 3MA power valves
This was a very hard test so i made 3 wash cycles but i wated more ,i had these in a bowl with laquer thinner for over a month and none of the dirt was cleaned or softened so it can be cleaned with a metal brush
So after 3 wash cycles i called it a day ,the result was not very good but after all this is a small cleaner ,using so much parts in one bath makes it even harder to clean
Next day i washed these for another 3 times and the result was very good
but unfortunately i dont have any photos ,i promise that i will take
some
So ending this review i think these were 20 euros well spent , iam thinking of buying a larger one from ebay that has more power and tank space for larger things
This will help me clean metal parts that i want to make a mold of them and usually are in a bad shape
Vinegar is the way to go because it is cheap ,and cleans rust very well
I dont know other liquids that can help but if you do feel free to post them here
Thanks
