Iam testing some epoxy resins to see which will do the job .
Are all the resins the same ? No
Surely in the worldwide market are several qualities of resins but I can only test resins that are sold in Greece
Prices are the same with Europe but postage time and cost are things that i cant afford for now
So I have tested 3 kinds of resins that u see in the photo below , they are all cure slowly so you can have enough work time in your hands
Megapoxy is a resin that comes to Greece from Australia and is sold by ANDREOY ,Its quite slow even slower that you might want and its flexible when it cures (I dont like that personally but i guess it can work for other stuff such as reed petals ) It can handle up to 140 degrees when it cures and its cost is 32 euro per kilo
ALPHAPOXY is also sold by ANDREOY ,it can handle up to 140 degrees when it cures and its a slow resin ,faster than the Australian one and with a reasonable work time ,it costs about 35 euros per kilo
EPOXOL is strange resin , it says its slow but I think its slower than a bus with the handbrake on in Indianapolis 500 , Otherwise its a very good resin ,it costs about 30 euros per one and a half kilo and it dries up with good results ,the other disadvantage is that it can handle up to 100 degrees when it cures so you can not use it in parts near the engine bay
From these three resins without being 100% satisfied I think the ALPHAPOXY is the best one , but iam still searching the one that will cover my needs that are
-Quick drying time with a reasonable work time
-Tolerance to high temperatures
-Price
