.. a Yamaha YZ 125 78'model
This is the first Yz with a plastic fuel tank and the second one with a monoshock suspension
This was a barn find,a friend of mine that bought it new used to ride it until 1982 ,the bike seized and as a teenager back then he gave it to a local shop to repair it
As these situations usually go my friend didnt have money to complete the repair and took it back home in pieces ,he decided to paint the chassis (and some other parts he couldnt part out such as top and bottom yokes) in blue ,same blue as the Suzuki PE's of that era .
I cant understand what he had in mind with the blue spray can back then but i can understand how your mind works when you were younger so i can alomost forgive hime for the mess he caused .
Anyway back to the Yz,the bike was left in pieces from 1983 to 2012 in his fathers shed ,one day after a conversation about my 2stroke love he mentioned that yz and i decided that it was time for a ressurection
We went to his warehouse and tried to find the old yz ,unfortunately over the years many things got thrown away or were lost so i need lots of parts for it
Some of them are
Front forks
Rear wheel
Wire harness
Piston
Fuel tank
Rear fender
Number plate
And the list goes on so if you know someone ,somewhere that has parts of this bike plz contact me
